My name is Jules Pession and I am a Mountain Guide and a cross-country and telemark ski instructor. I was born and raised in the heart of the Alps, in Valle d’Aosta, where I have succeeded in transforming my passion into a profession.
Formerly, I was a professional athlete in cross-country skiing and roller skiing; for eleven years, through the military academy for Alpine troops, I was responsible for training the Armed Forces from Italy and other nations in movement and survival in a mountain environment.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to explore areas that are very different from our Alps, ranging from the mountains of central Africa in Uganda to the Antarctic.
Currently, during the summer season, I accompany people from all over the world through the mountains and up the 4000m Alps, on Mount Cervino – The Matterhorn in particular, my most beloved peak. Every summer I spend several weeks in the Dolomites, where I love to go climbing with my friends and clients, up the splendid walls of the eastern Alps.
Working as a mountain guide allows me to enjoy the mountains from 360°, even during the winter season, when I offer my clients off piste skiing – freeriding, Heliskiing, alpine skiing, climbing up ice waterfalls.
